Adults often seek therapy when they are facing serious challenges and are concerned about managing the impact on their lives. Other times, clients realize that they continue to find themselves in the same difficult relationship patterns, and want to commit to making changes for themselves.
Together, we can discuss and work towards attaining your personal goals, and gain a clearer understanding of how your past may be impacting your moods, thoughts and behaviors. I specialize in working with adults who have codependency issues, and challenges in their relationships with others. I also have a lot of experience helping adults dealing with symptoms of depression and anxiety, including self-esteem issues, lack of motivation, and overthinking.
If you are noticing changes from your previous level of mood or functioning, you may benefit from pursuing individual therapy. My approach is eclectic in that I look at how family of origin issues impact current functioning, provide coping skills and techniques based in CBT, and focus on every clients unique story and potential for personal growth.
